1. Don't Multitask
Multitasking almost never works! In fact, according to Cleveland Clinic, "The neuroscience is clear: We are wired to be mono-taskers. One study found that just 2.5 percent of people are able to multitask effectively. And when the rest of us attempt to do two complex activities simultaneously, it is simply an illusion." If you do end up multitasking, it will greatly hinder your ability to do a single task well; it's almost impossible to do it to the best of your ability while multi-tasking.
2. Divide The Content
Don't try to do everything at once! Doing a marathon of studying or work WILL NOT BE EFFECTIVE. Try to split up your time and have breaks between work. An effective way to do this is to work/study for 55 mins, and take a break fro 10.
3. Find A Study Group
Although this doesn't sound effective, having other people's points of view can greatly improve your knowledge. By even chatting with another person, you can fiend different perspectives that can improve your work!
4. Sleep
Don't underestimate the power of getting your 8 hours! Without a proper amount of sleep, you will be lethargic and produce poor work. Additionally, you will be too tired to function properly and get distracted easily/not be motivated. This can cause you to fall behind.
5. Take Notes
Although these are online classes, taking notes is key! Commonly, people learn and retain information better once it is written down. Make sure to find a note-taking model that works for you! These notes will also be extremely helpful for studying.
