We all had the feeling of wanting to be productive during this time of quarantine. So here are 4 ways to stay productive during the quarantine:
1. Have a Routine
Having a routine is essential to being productive. You are about to continue your day with a structure that is like your everyday life. It is like waking up at 9 am, having breakfast and doing your schoolwork, etc. A distracting factor to having a routine during this quarantine is we are always surrounded by our device causing use to procrastinate and not follow the routine we have.
2. Keep up with having Good habits
With quarantine come bad eating habits which we should stay away from. When bored we often go to the pantry to see if we have food that we can snack on. Eating healthy will nourish your body and help you stay in good shape. With eating, we should also exercise and workout, going on a run or following a fitness video at home is the best way to past time and be productive. If your New Year’s resolution was to be healthier now is the time to accomplish your goal with all the free time we have.
3. Learn something new
Learning something new is the best thing you can do during quarantined. You can learn a new language, learn how to code, or learn how to cook! You grow as a person and develop more knowledge and improve yourself for the better. You can access different and new opportunities that will benefit you in the future. You can most likely use it in your everyday life by learning a skill that will help you link to your future career. When you develop a new skill your day to day life will be more productive and possibly make life easier.
4.Reduce your social media time and focus on more productive activities
It is good to stay informed about the pandemic on social media but overconsumption can lead to depression. Instead of looking at how others spend their time quarantined, you should focus on how you can benefit from having all this free time. Watching Tik Tok for an excessive amount of time or scrolling through Instagram is a waste of valuable time that you can use to better yourself. You might think that it is the only thing you can do but there is so much more you can do. You should have a set time on how long you want to use the app and focus more on school and extracurriculars. Reducing your hours on your phone will truly help you with being productive.
