How to Exercise during Quarantine

With most of us staying home and gyms and stores closing, it's difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle. To keep that quarantine 15 off, here's some ways you can stay active while social distancing!


Try the Home Workout app


This free app is super useful for trying to stay active while staying at home. It has 30 day workout programs that workout your upper body or lower body. It's great for beginners and experienced users alike as they have 3 levels of difficulty. Workout at your own pace and download this app on the app store or google play store.


Try the SixPackin30Days


This free app is made by the same creators as the home workout app and is great for getting an extra ab workout with your daily exercise. It has a beginner, intermediate and expert level with different exercises for each level. Getting a daily ab workout in is the best way to stay in shape during these stagnant days.


Follow the Barbell Brigade Lockdown Workout


This program was created by the team at Barbell Brigade who understand that its hard to get a workout in at home with little to no equipment. The program progresses in difficulty and starts off with a focus on just making the movement more difficult by using timing. The intensity of the program can be modified for beginners to be able to get a good workout in as well. For example, instead of doing 10 reps of push ups, you can always do knee push ups instead.


Go Out For A Run!


We understand that during these times it's best to stay home, but as long as you practice social distancing and are responsible to keep yourself and others protected it's ok to go out for a breath of fresh air. Start off by running in an enclosed area and remember to not touch any surfaces or your mouth. You can listen to some music and just run a couple laps to keep yourself energized! The best times to go out would be early in the morning or really late at night, so that there is less people and a lower chance at being at risk.
