Online Courses You Should Check Out

Need something to do over the march break? Top universities in the world, including Harvard, Princeton and University of Pennsylvania are offering free online courses.

These courses are completely free of charge and provide great exposure to university level concepts. Whether you want a taste of university, or just want to learn more about something you are interested in, taking these courses is the way to go!

With over 450 courses to choose from, you are open to taking courses from many different fields, ranging from business to art and design. All you have to do to enroll is find a course that you are interested in, make an account on Coursera, and choose to audit the course. Note that the course will not provide you with any certificate or grades. In order to receive those, you must pay a fee.

The structure of your course will depend on the course you choose to take, but will all be online with videos and readings for you to learn from. Many of the courses offer slideshows of lessons as well. The quizzes and assignments are available to view and test out, but cannot be submitted for actual grades.

Something really interesting to consider is the fact that the university’s actual professors will be teaching these courses. For example, if you decide to take the ‘Introduction to Corporate Finance’ course at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the finance professor at Wharton is the person who is talking through all of the concepts.
