Tip 1: Organize yourself
Organization is key! Universities want to read your applications with ease. They don’t want to be confused about what you mean with the fancy wording. Make sure to start on your applications early to make sure you have ample time to write it.
Brainstorm your key points
Roadmap and structure your essay
Flow! Use transition words
Tip 2: Edit! Edit! Edit!
Make sure you proofread your work constantly. Read it over multiple times in your head and out loud. It is important to take a break and come back to it with a fresh mind. Ask all your friends to help you edit but remember to read over their responses.
Tip 3: Steady Pace
When doing video interviews don’t speak too fast. Make sure to give yourself time to formulate your thoughts and sound confident. You want to look like you know what you are saying even if you don’t. Fake it till you make it!
Tip 4: How to Deal With Rejection
Don't. It's going to suck regardless. Just understand that it is what it is and there is nothing you can do to change it. Take it as a learning opportunity and grow from it. It's important to move on and let go.
Tip 5: Be Prepared
Start early and make sure you have enough time to write the best application you can! No one wants to regret the fact that they rushed their application and couldn't write as well as they wanted.
